The Human Cosmos OBSERVED

Goethe's Oak

the knowledge of beauty

the soul exceeds its circumstances

the constellation of hope and desire

the birth place of stars

love is a timeless universe

silence is not an option

cold sweat

a wisdom without vocal chords

Andromeda
From supernova to black holes, from dark matter to nebulae, from the birth and death of stars to the collision and creation of galaxies, against the dense dark background of seemingly endless time, vast cosmic entities and events occur in the smaller self-contained universe that is each individual life.
This series of portraits is based on the simple observation that the cosmos echoes and reverberates through the human experience.
Media
Water-soluble media (water colour, ink, pastels and pencil) with glazes and handstitched cotton thread on canvas.
